Rubber and neoprene footwear is designed to provide waterproof protection and durability in wet or muddy conditions. Rubber boots, made entirely of rubber, offer excellent resistance to water and chemicals, making them ideal for tasks like gardening, farming, or working in wet environments. Neoprene boots, on the other hand, feature a neoprene upper and rubber sole. Neoprene is a synthetic rubber known for its insulation properties, making neoprene boots warmer and more comfortable in colder weather compared to traditional rubber boots. Both types of boots are commonly used for outdoor activities, work, and casual wear, providing reliable protection against moisture and elements.
The Dryshod Difference
Dryshod sets itself apart from other neoprene footwear with its emphasis on comfort and breathability. Each pair of Dryshods is constructed with at least one layer of Densoprene® Foam, a super-dense, lightweight neoprene material that keeps you dry and warm without weighing you down. Natural rubber overlays and an air mesh lining are also included. The hypoallergenic, nonabrasive air mesh lining promotes air circulation within the boot, preventing stuffiness and keeping your feet warm and dry.
Compared to other neoprene boots on the market, Dryshods features a wider toe box, offering a more natural shape for your feet, resulting in increased comfort and stability. Rigid shanks provide support when navigating uneven terrain, enhancing stability. Not only are they comfortable when worn, but their generous heel kick makes them easy to take off and put back on.
Wet Conditions
Dryshod’s neoprene mid and high boots are perfect for both wet and dry weather due to their water-repellent materials and adaptable design. These boots are made with natural rubber overlays and coated with a Hydrokote® water-repellent material on the textile calf pipe, ensuring that they will keep your feet dry in the wettest of conditions. The Hydrokote® coating repels water and mud, preventing the exterior from freezing in the cold or becoming soggy in warm, wet conditions.
Never lose traction with Dryshod’s Arctic Storm boots, which feature rugged soles with an aggressive, all-terrain tread pattern designed to easily shed mud and snow. These boots also come with a protective toe bumper for added durability. Inside the outer sole, there’s a cold-blocking EVA midsole that prevents heat from escaping out of the bottom of the shoe. To provide added comfort, these boots are completed with a form-fit soft sock liner.
Dryshod’s Neoprene boots will keep you warm and are adaptable with the soft, roll-down calf pipe. Made of flexible Densoprene foam with a 4-way stretch lining, this calf pipe will fit almost any calf and is easy to roll down in warmer temperatures. Due to its stretch, this calf pipe works great with your pant leg over it or inside the boot.
Which Dryshod is right for you?
The Arctic Storm boots are rated for temperatures between -50° F and 65° F and are available in a medium or high height for both men and women. Featuring two separate layers of Densoprene® Foam with a polar fleece lining and heat-blocking EVA midsole for added warmth. Complete with an aggressive, natural rubber sole that will grip any terrain even in wet conditions—designed to shed mud and snow to avoid build-up. You will be comfortable and supported with a rigid shank for added arch support, a toe bumper for protection, and a wide forefoot base for greater stability and comfort. Great for cold temperatures and wet conditions. Available in black for men and women, and black and blue for women.
The Haymaker or Legend MXT would be perfect for conditions that aren’t as cold, but still very wet. The Haymaker for men is great for temperatures between -20° F and 75° F and the Legend MXT for Women will keep you comfortable between -10° F and 75° F. Both feature just one layer of the Dryshod Densoprene® Foam, with no fleece lining. Also featuring a rigid shank for arch support and a wide toe box for stability and comfort. The Haymaker for men is available in black or brown with a high calf pipe. The Legend MXT for women comes in black with purple accents and a high calf pipe.
Sizing
Dryshods run true to size, but are only available in whole sizes. If you are a true half-size, it’s important to size up. Sizing up instead of down ensures that there will be enough room inside the boot to retain heat from your body, which will keep you warm. Buying a size too small may result in cold feet!
