Fusogard is the only cattle vaccine on the market specifically designed for protection against footrot caused by F. necrophorum bacterin. A broad window for administration allows for vaccination during breeding soundness exams and at turnout. Vaccinating for footrot helps prevent this costly disease, providing a cost-effective and proactive alternative to antibiotic treatment.
INDICATIONS: This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy cattle 6 months of age or older against footrot caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum. DIRECTIONS: Shake well before using. Administer 2 mL subcutaneously. In accordance with Beef Quality Assurance guidelines, this product should be administered subcutaneously (under the skin) in the neck. Revaccinate in 3 weeks. Historically, revaccination was recommended annually, anytime endemic conditions exist, or when exposure was imminent. The need for this booster has not been established.
