The Classic Equine Saddle Shims provide support when you need to correct the downhill saddle fit due to muscle atrophy or conformation issues at the withers. These shims allow you to move them to the perfect, customized spot you need them to sit on your horse. The tapered wedge closed cell foam is comfortable, yet holds its shape to fill the small gaps. These are important to keep your horse comfortable and free to move his shoulders under the saddle. You can place these shims just under the saddle and on top of the saddle pad as needed. Durably constructed from closed-cell foam, these shims are designed to sit between the saddle and saddle pad to fill void spaces behind the withers or along the back to improve saddle fit.
Shims are often used to alleviate discomfort and help correct saddle fit issues associated with horses that may have underdeveloped musculature due to inexperience, weight loss, muscle atrophy, or injury.
