PYthon II Cattle Ear Tags

PYthon II is a slow-release, plastic ear tag containing a synergized formulation of zeta-cypermethrin, a potent, enriched S-isomer pyrethroid compound. This insecticide has excellent activity against many pests, including horn flies that are resistant to certain other insecticides. A high loading of piperonyl butoxide synergizes this S-isomer and dramatically reduces the effect of pyrethroid resistance. PYthon’s exclusive Tri-Polymer matrix of non-toxic inert ingredients delivers a high ratio of synergist to insecticide for maximum insect-killing action.

• Labeled for use on beef and dairy cattle, including calves and lactating dairy cows.
• Controls ectoparasites which cause major economic losses.
• Controls horn flies for up to 3 months with one tag/head and up to 3 months with two tags/head when used in an insecticide rotation program.
• Controls face flies, lice, Gulf Coast ticks, and spinose ear ticks for up to 3 months with two tags/head. Aids in control of face flies with one tag/head.
• May be used in winter for lice control.
